Create a page

Follow the link containing you user name at the top of the page.

Press edit at the top of the page and add the desired content.

To create another page, just add this

[[My first page]]

somewhere inside the page being edited.

Then click Save page button to save your changes.

Follow the new link, which appears red because the target page is not yet created, and you will be editing the new page. Add some text. Then press Save page button again.

View the recent changes

To view it click Recent changes inside the navigation box at the left.

Locate the page you have just edited and you can see

• the difference with the previous version clicking (diff). If the page is new, indicate with an N before the page name, there will be no previous page and (diff) will be disabled
• the history of the page clicking (hist) and you can later compare two arbitrary versions of the page
• the actual page clicking on the page title
• the date and time of the edition
• the user who made the changes

Selecting (diff) the list of changes is presented and compared against the previous version, using different colors to indicate the nature of the change.

Green is used for additions, red for deletions and yellow for changes.

Search for your page

If you press <Enter> or Go the text entered is looked for in the page titles first and if you press Search it is looked for in the contents.

As an example, enter

page

in the search box and just press <Enter>. The pages containig the work page are presented in a list ordered by popularity.

Add some content to your page

Add text, paragraphs adding an extra empty line between them, different sections adding = signs sorrounding the titlles, etc.

For example:

Review your changes and when satisfied save the page.

Organize the content

Adding links to an existing page is one of them, as we saw before. Yes another alternative is to categorize the pages. Pages can belong to one or more categories which can be further categorized creating a tree. To add a category to your page, edit it and add

[[Category:Test page]]

at the top of the page.

Now the categories the page belongs to are showed at the bottom of it.

Navigate the wiki

There are many options to navigate through the wiki content

navigation box at the left

this box provides a couple of static links to the most important pages. This content is customizable by the wiki administrator

search box

as explained before this box contribute the means to easily find contetn when you know in advance the title or the text the page must contain

toolbox

this provides importants links that enhance your experience using the wiki. You can go to all of the pages that link a specific one, see the list of related changes or through the special pages link visit the list of all pages, categories or gallery of images.

Access your information from everywhere

Mobile wiki

One of the most inportant feature of the Sandbox Wiki is to put the information at your fingertips, whereever you are.

You can access and even edit the information using a PDA or mobile phone while on the road.

Interact and communicate

New messages

Your new messages reminder will appear on top of almost every wiki page.

Normal pages have too a discussion assosiated page where you can enter comment about the specific page to be reviewed by the authors.

User page changed

If you've your email address registered as explained in User registration the system will also send you messages everytime your user page is changed and will provide you with the relevant URLs to ease your tasks.
