This a "step by step" guided tour to the most relevant features of Sandbox Wiki.
Note
To be able to edit content you must sucessfuly complete the registration prosess.

[edit] Create a page |
| The easiest way to start a new page is creating your personal home page, the user's page.
Follow the link containing you user name at the top of the page.
Press edit at the top of the page and add the desired content.
[[My first page]] somewhere inside the page being edited. Then click Save page button to save your changes. Follow the new link, which appears red because the target page is not yet created, and you will be editing the new page. Add some text. Then press Save page button again. | |

[edit] View the recent changes |
| The wiki keeps track of all of the changes.
To view it click Recent changes inside the navigation box at the left. Locate the page you have just edited and you can see
Selecting (diff) the list of changes is presented and compared against the previous version, using different colors to indicate the nature of the change. Green is used for additions, red for deletions and yellow for changes. | |

[edit] Search for your page |
| Enter some text to be searched for in the Search box at the left.
If you press <Enter> or Go the text entered is looked for in the page titles first and if you press Search it is looked for in the contents. As an example, enter page in the search box and just press <Enter>. The pages containig the work page are presented in a list ordered by popularity. | |

[edit] Add some content to your page |
| Try to add some more content to your page.
Add text, paragraphs adding an extra empty line between them, different sections adding = signs sorrounding the titlles, etc. For example: = Lorem ipsum = Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. This is a change. == Nulla posuere == Nulla posuere scelerisque pede. Donec rutrum interdum turpis. Nulla in neque. Suspendisse sollicitudin, eros eu volutpat auctor, nisl leo lobortis tortor, vel tincidunt sem dolor sit amet tortor. A more complete list of options with examples is provided in Help:Editing. Review your changes and when satisfied save the page. | |

[edit] Organize the content |
| There are some alternatives to organize the content inside the wiki to ease its navigation.
Adding links to an existing page is one of them, as we saw before. Yes another alternative is to categorize the pages. Pages can belong to one or more categories which can be further categorized creating a tree. To add a category to your page, edit it and add [[Category:Test page]] at the top of the page. Now the categories the page belongs to are showed at the bottom of it. | |

[edit] Navigate the wiki |
| The most important single feature of the wiki is the ability to simplify the edition of content and to provide the means to easily navigate through it.

[edit] Access your information from everywhere |

One of the most inportant feature of the Sandbox Wiki is to put the information at your fingertips, whereever you are. You can access and even edit the information using a PDA or mobile phone while on the road. | |

[edit] Interact and communicate |
| You can send messages to other users adding your questions or comments to that's users discusion page. Text and images in these comments can be added using the same rules that govern other pages editions.
Your new messages reminder will appear on top of almost every wiki page. Normal pages have too a discussion assosiated page where you can enter comment about the specific page to be reviewed by the authors. If you've your email address registered as explained in User registration the system will also send you messages everytime your user page is changed and will provide you with the relevant URLs to ease your tasks. |
